This week I'll be bringing you daily Recession Specials about the city.  A gorgeous Monday night in August is a spectacular excuse for a good (and reasonable) meal!  So here are today's top deals:

1) Hill Country's $25 all-you-can-eat Monday night special.  Click here for the low-down.   30 W. 26th (between Broadway and 6th).  212-255-4544; www.hillcountryny.com

2) The Stanton Social is offering 25% off every check after 9PM!  Entrees, before the discount, average $16. 99 Stanton Street (between Orchard and Ludlow).  212-995-0099; www.thestantonsocial.com.

3) Tailor's $12 Huitlacoche Corn Dog (pictured above) and Beer (Modelo) special is the talk of the town.  While their main dining room is closed this month as Chef Sam Mason revamps the menu, the sleek downstairs bar remains open with an extended menu, and this Monday night special.  Open until midnight.  525 Broome St. (between Thompson and 6th Ave.).  212-334-5182; www.tailornyc.com.

Until tomorrow.  Happy eating.
