Trader Joe's, the good humored supermarket full of well priced eats, opens in Brooklyn on September 26th.  Joe leaves Chuck behind, however;  the wine shop remains a Manhattan luxury only.  About its grand opening, The Brooklyn Paper reports, "The 9 am grand opening celebration in the landmark Independence Bank building at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Court Street will feature giveaways, live music and an appearance from Brooklyn’s biggest retail booster, Borough President Markowitz."

Located at 130 Court Street in Brooklyn, the store will be open 9am-9pm daily.  Trader Joe's joins Brooklyn's burgeoning high-end supermarket influx, with Fairway already in Red Hook, and Whole Foods (tentatively) slated to land at 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street.

Trader Joe's:  130 Court Street, Brooklyn (718-275-1791)

Fairway:  480 Van Brunt St., Brooklyn (718) 935-1537
