Perhaps the chefiest of all chef events, Starchef.com's 2008 International Chef Congress descends upon the Park Avenue Armory September 14-16. Billed as "a three-day culinary symposium where 60 of the world’s most influential and innovative chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers present the latest techniques and culinary concepts to their peers", the event grants access only to established industry insiders (restauranteurs, chefs, general managers), and registration is by invitation only. For those of us not chefy enough to make the cut, you can still view all the fabulous events you aren't important enough to gain admittance to on the starchef.com website. Virtually every culinary hot-shot will be presenting.
