What movies are there to see this Easter season that everyone can agree on?

"Pay It Forward", "Wall-E" and "Knowing" just to name a few, are the three best movies for the Easter weekend. But for some reason, movies can be hard to agree on, especially when all the family members are gathered together after a day of going to church, hunting easter eggs and dinner, then we all know it is time to take in a movie.  But what to watch? Whatever the time you have and with whoever you have it, these are some movies your film examiner has put together for you that I dare to say you will be entertained, heart warmed and amazed.

“Pay It Forward.” is an idea or rather film that focus's on life, what it is about and its true meaning of humanity and through a child's eye we see the innocence and gift of giving everyone has the ability to have. “Pay It Forward” stars Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osment in a drama about a young boy named Trevor McKinny (Osment) who is troubled by his mother's alcoholism (played by Hunt) and when Trevor is sent on a school assignment by his social studies teacher (Spacey) to think of something to change the world, the young boy discovers a revolution not only in his life but effects everyone around him and his theory of pay it forward becomes a state of humanity and in it he effects multitudes of people. This movie gives us a special glance at he human spirit and its ability to give and how we can effect others lives in a positive way to help others and though is an old movie you might have to dig through netfix or your local video store to find, but its a fine jewel that many need to see these days.  Trailer  Rated-PG-13

A more recent movie that is on DVD is “Wall-E,” by "Disney's Pixar Entertainment" is a film that has the ability to leave us believing in the power of our abilities to help the condition of our planet as well as the condition of our hearts and a new found appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us. Wall-E is a garbage collecting robot that has been left to clean up the planet that humans have abandoned and he is left alone on earth until one day, Eve, a sleek reconnaissance robot is sent to earth to find life is once again sustainable. In an instance, Wall-E falls madly in love with Eve and does everything he can to impress her, even standing in the rain with an umbrella in a lightening storm. She is left for some time with Wall-E that is until one day her mother ship comes back to collect her and in the process Wall-E is taken back to where the humans are stationed in a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all the humans, all fat and lazy 700 of them. This movie is about a unbeknown character hero that shows human qualities that you cant help but fall in love with and and in this character you see through his eyes he knows there is something more to life than what he was sent to do. Being the only one left on earth he seeks for things that matter and in his seeking he finds love. But not only love he finds what life is about and how delicate it can be and should be treated.  Trailer  Rated -G

For those who want to venture into the movie theater, there is something for you too. Even though this film appears to be more science-fiction or thriller but in fact, it has all the elements of a great science fiction thriller and something more. “Knowing”, staring Academy Award winner, Nicholas Cage plays a professor who stumbles across a document that terrifyingly predicts the future and so he sets out to try to stop them but instead of stopping them he finds himself in one horrific event after another. In this high intense action sequence film we are not only en gripped by its powerful imagery with scenes that engulf the audience to the point of gasp, but this film also has a deeper presence than that, there is something more than just predictions going on in this movie. Once again we are expected to believe, in something, more than ourselves and faithing in something that means more than just a theory. Trailer  Rated PG-13

Whatever you are doing for Easter, try to take in one of these films because faith, love, hope and trust has a meaning this Easter holiday season.
