Finding the perfect fitting bra can be like finding the perfect jeans… almost impossible. You find yourself trying on many different bra sizes only to end up confused about what your actual size is. Well, with a few simple measurements it can be extremely easier to find the best bra size.

The first step is to measure your frame; this is the diameter around your chest right below your breast.

Next you need to add 5 to your frame size if your frame size is an odd number. If your frame size is even, then you add 4. The number you get here is your bra size.

Now you must find your breast size. This would be the diameter around your chest, which is over the fullest part of your breast.

After finding your measurements, you can now determine your cup size. You must take the bra size and subtract it from your breast size. The difference is the number you use to find your cup size by using the chart below.

0 to 1/2 inch- AA
1/2 to 1 inch - A
1 to 2 1/2 inches- B
2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches- C
3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches- D
4 1/2 to 6 inches- DD (E)
6 to 7 inches- DDD(F)
7 to 8 inches- G

I’ll use my measurements as an example. My frame size is 29 inches. Since it is an odd number I had 5 to it and come up with a bra size of 34. My breast size is 32 inches. So if I subtract 34 from 32 I am left with a difference of 2 inches. According to the chart, my cup size is a B. So my bra size is a 34B. Simple enough!
