Bourbon & Whiskey cocktail recipes for 4th of July party planning
Bourbon is no longer relegated to stuffy cigar libraries filled with cantankerous men who feel the need to hang signs on the door informing the world of their ‘men only’ club. No, whiskey is
taking the world by storm welcoming in the world of female consumers with the
creation of welcoming cocktails and variety bourbons with mellow tones. Of course that isn’t to say women prefer the easy route to brown liquor fulfillment. There are a number of women among the ranks of spirited consumers who fancy stiffer varieties of bourbon and whiskey to be sure.
This Independence Day whiskey fulfillment is just on the horizon with a
few modern cocktail recipes provided by Old Forester and Canadian Mist. Keep your cool this weekend and all summer long with these tall refreshing twists on the
classic Julep cocktail made easy with no muddling, an updated rendition of the bourbon and cola and two tall drink recipe versions using lemonade sure to keep you cool long into the evening.
Old Forester Summer Julep2 ounces Lemonade
1 ounce Pomegranate Juice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
All American Cocktail
2 ounces Cola
Garnish with a lime
Independence Cocktail
3 ounces fresh lemonade
1 ounce orange juice
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour into glass over ice. Garnish with a cherry
Berry Mist Lemonade1/2 ounce Chambord
3 ounces lemonade
3 ounces Lemon-lime soda
Mix the Canadian Mist and Chambord in a mixing jar then stir in the lemonade and lemon-lime soda.
Pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge or twist.
