Breckenridge Brewery: 1 of 4 free beer tastings tonight
Ready for this: Breckenridge Brewery has a sense of humor. When I first landed upon their page it appeared as if ‘a cruel joke in a cold, uncaring world’ had indeed occurred. The beer no doubt exists. The website indeed exists. Yet, it claims it is merely a cyber brewery. Breckenridge Brewery also maintains their beer is crafted in limited quantity, so if you want to put your lips to the bottle, tongue to the tap, you’d better do so when you have the opportunity. And you have that opportunity tonight! Free!
Breckenridge Brewery Tasting
HyVee – 102nd & Maple (Omaha)
Friday, June 5, 2009
4:00 – 6:00PM
Free

Breckenridge Brewery offers several varieties of beer. Pandora’s Bock is such a charming play on words that further hammers in the thought that this brewery loves to indulge their inner wit as much as cultivate their craft. While consuming too much of a good thing is rather foolish, opening a bottle of Pandora’s Bock will lead the curious to a caramel nut malt that overflows with complexity that Breckenridge Brewery says is better spoken of in mythical terms. Pandora’s Bock is a seasonal brew available only when she’s good and ready to come out and play.
I did learn something from
Breckenridge Brewery. I’ve heard of wine quaffing, but never beer or ale quaffing. The brewmaster at Breckenridge Brewery apparently has the ideal ale for just that sort of thing; Summerbright Ale. So whether you are heading to a picnic or the back porch for a summer evening shooting the breeze with friends, quaff with Summerbright Ale. This one sounds perfect for walking through the backyard in cut off ragged jean shorts, barefoot through the grass with the sounds of crickets and a starry sky above. Sound good? I bet it tastes that good, too. Find out tonight at the tasting.
It’s a Free Beer Tasting extravaganza tonight:
