Schell Brewery beer pairing dinner

Jace Marti, Assistant Brewmaster from Schell Brewery of New Ulm, Minnesota, visits Omaha June 18
th for a special beer tasting dinner at Peony Park HyVee. Barry Schmeichel hosts and informs me that this is the last beer dinner at Peony Park HyVee until the Fall Season, so make plans to attend.
Zommerfest is in season. Introduced in 1998 over Memorial Weekend, this Kölsch Style Honey Ale tempts the palate during the first course of the evening’s dinner. Although the style originates from Cologne, Germany, this lightly flavored ale is brewed with real Minnesota honey from Madelia, MN. According to Schell Brewery it is of “light golden color with a frothy white head. Slight malt flavor and sweet hop aroma.” Zommerfest is only available during the summer, so be sure to check out the tasting dinner, sample some new favorites and pick up a few to take home for summer.
