A quick hit of news to start the evening off with – Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is looking to sell the club off despite owning it for little more than a year. The Guardian also has a full statement from him concerning the transfer issues that caused manager Kevin Keegan to exit last week.
There was also news a couple days ago that Ashley unsuccessfully tried to get Keegan back.
What a disastrous week for the club, and now (as if we haven’t had enough club takeover issues to discuss) it looks like the bidding wars will once again commence.
What do you think? Is this the right move for Ashley, or could he have won the supporters back? What will happen now with Newcastle, will they find a high-rolling buyer willing to dish out the big bucks and transform the club?
