Before becoming the Knitting factory, this club was known as the Big Easy...or as the locals liked to call it, The Big Sleazy. Luckily the new owners from the New York Knitting Factory club fame have taken this venue over and turned it into one of the hottest spots in Downtown Spokane.
From Wednesday through the weekend you can hear live music of just about every kind. The Kitting Factory may feature a band like Seether one night and turn around and feature Sarah Bareilles the next. This venue really does do a great job of offering variety.
If you don't feel like checking out the live music, or if your ears need a rest from the screamo going on in the concert hall, The Knitting Factory also offers the Alterknit lounge...yeah, great play on words...get it...alternate...just checking...
Drinks here in my opinion are a little overpriced but the atmosphere is pretty chill with private lounges, booths, and loveseats to rest your feet after dancing the night away. This is where you are most likely going to hear some of the best DJ's in town, so if your life is all about the dance, this is your club.
As for the downsides of the Knitting Factory, besides a pricier set of drinks, the staff has also not had the greatest reviews. My personal experience has been ok, but the overall feeling is that the staff could do with some customer service classes. But other than that, this is the place to be to see some of the best shows in the
Oh, and I almost forgot! The Alterknit lounge offers Karaoke on Wednesday nights. No better way to start your night then listening to a bunch of drunk people singing Justin Timberlake. You can take that whatever way you want.
