Back in California is Suzi Johnson, the woman who brought cashmere to cult status level and continues to create heavenly looking fashion pieces. Designer and owner of SOUCHI, Suzi personally handpicks her yarns at the finest mills in Europe. Each year she personally designs and handcrafts four collections, carefully choosing yarns from thin 1-ply to chunky 12-ply as well as organic cotton, cotton stretch, and cotton/cashmere blends.
This Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1st Suzi will present her Fall '09 collection in Healdsburg at the fashion haven that is Arboretum. The collection will include cardigans, dresses, scarves, coats, hats, and blankets. As well as meeting the brainchild behind Souchi you can pick up an item or place a custom order by selecting your own style, color and yarn!

The first Souchi sweater was hand loomed in San Francisco in 1997 and the Golden Gate certainly did bring luck as Souchi has since appeared in publications such as Vogue, W Mag, Travel & Leisure, Lucky, In Style, and British Elle.
With her own store in Portland and the ease of online shopping Souchi offers a huge selection of stylish pieces including fashion from Corey Lynn Calter, grai, and Ports 1961. Gorgeous jewelry treasures can also be found designed by Rebecca Norman and Thea Grant.
