Elizabeth Olsen, designer and founder of fashion vegan brand OlsenHaus, has been an outspoken advocate against the use of animals within fashion for over twenty years. Her concept for Olsenhaus is to be 100% cruelty-free, using only non-animal materials that are environmentally friendly. Olsenhaus wants to showcase alternative materials that are sophisticated, fun and on trend whilst being conscious of the world around us.

Olsen has an impressive background within the fashion industry; the ex Creative Director at Tommy Hilfiger, part of the design team at Calvin Klein, Bulga, Nine West, a stylist on campaigns and commercials for Nike, Universal Studios, IBM to name just a few she brings experience with creativity. Ideas come from her passion for ethics, animal consciousness, color, art and design. With an impressive celebrity following including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Persia White and Emily Deschanel, Olsenhaus is fast becoming the way forward in footwear.

Cruelty-free fashion done right is just as fashion forward as those designer names we all love and sacrificing animals for fashion can become a thing of the past just as Olsenhaus proves. Vegan does not have to mean looking like you are stuck in a rut; it can be luxury and style with an eye on trends. From fashionistas, to vegans, to the eco-friendly aware, and onto trend watchers Olsenhaus appeals globally to one of the widest customer bases.

I love the color usage Olsenhaus has in their footwear. The pop of color in each shoe is beautifully done, adding a splash of interest to a formal black or grey/beige shoe. A little extra comfort is added by the padded insoles included in each pair of shoes, light relief for our feet! The structure in each pair of shoes is well thought out and the end result is chic eco footwear.
