Question: What does Pamela Anderson have in common with President Barack Obama, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and The Dalai Lama?
Answer: They are all behind PETA’s campaign to end the slaughter of baby seals.

PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, have a new global campaign against Canadian seal slaughter and they have the backing of Hollywood as well as some very powerful world leaders.

Adding their voice to help stop the annual massacre of seals, celebrities across the industry are taking part in the new campaign and speaking out against the slaughter, where seals are often shot or have their heads bashed in. Many times these gentle animals are skinned alive while their mothers helplessly watch.

Dancing With the Stars contestant Kelly Osbourne is one celebrity speaking up, “The saddest thing for me is just knowing baby seals are going to be killed and most of them are probably still alive when they’re skinning them.”

Amongst the Hollywood crowd backing PETA’s ‘Save the Seals’ campaign are actress Rachael Leigh Cook, Twilight actress Christian Serratos, bombshell Pamela Anderson, playmates Holly Madison and Jayde Nicole, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, and Californian hunk Brody Jenner of The Hills.

Check out the slideshow below to see the celebrity images from the campaign.

Brody Jenner: “Each year, tens of thousands of seals, many of whom are still babies, are massacred.”

Now YOU too can help speak out against the largest mass killing of marine mammals in the world. Visit PETA.org and join the campaign to end the slaughter.

Made to feel extremely soft and looking fabulous this limited-edition tee is handmade in downtown Los Angeles. Become part of the campaign today.

Can you really look at those cute faces (the seals not the celebrities) and not help?
