Still obsessing over Rodarte's Fall/Winter 2008 knitted collection...
As with most other bloggers in the world, I am STILL obsessed with Rodarte's Fall/Winter 2008 knitted collection.
And it doesn't help any that its designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy scooped up the Women's Wear prize at the Council for the Fashion Designers of America Awards this month.
And I know, since it's fashion, that this was in style ages ago in season's terms. But, even now, there's something about it that is just so inviting.
Maybe it's because, for once in fashion, the clothes that go down the runway actually look comfortable.
Or, maybe it's got me all excited because there are cheaper ways to rock the copycat look. After all, I do love a good ol' DIY.
And I'm not the only one. Ricarda Schernus over at
Cats & Dogs has created something so Rodartesque, it may even be better than the real thing!
And that's what I love about fashion. We are all creative people, able to put our ideas out there and have them copied and built on by other creative people.
But, if you're like me and knitting's not your forte, there's always Topshop:
So stop hesitating and get your Rodarte here. You'd be a real knit-iot to pass up any of these:
And besides, you won't have any closure until you do. Now go knit that on a pillow!
