Man found dead on Marina del Rey balcony

Marina del Rey, CA:
A 75 year-old man was found dead, slumped over his balcony in Marina del Rey, CA. The man, Mostafa Mahmoud Zayed, was in eyesight of passersby on the 3rd floor of his apartment on Bora Bora Way, but was mistakenly thought to be part of a Halloween ensemble designed to scare people.
Initial reports have said the man was shot once in the eye and was not recognized as a real person for at least 3 days.
An autopsy and investigation into the man's death is under way.
UPDATE: Further reports suggest the lethal gunshot to Zayed was self-inflicted.
