
Toothaches can cause so much agony and unbearable throbbing pain for someone that you may want a quick form of relief until you can get to your dentist. A toothache starts when tooth decay penetrates the pulp chamber or reaches in its close proximity that contains the nerve endings and tiny blood vessels. I recently had toothache pain that turned into a root canal (Endodontic Therapy). In a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.
During the toothache pain before my root canal I was searching for natural remedies to help ease my toothche pain until I could see my dentist. There are few preventative measures you can take before you end up with a toothache due to poor dental care of your teeth. You should brush after each meal and before bed time. Floss your teeth gently on a regular basis. Avoid candy and sweets which can cause cavities.
Most toothaches occur at night when you are trying to sleep because of the increased blood pressure towards your head. Keeping your head elevated my help decrease the pressure of a toothache. Most people will try to take over the counter pain killers such as Aleve, Advil or Aspirin. You can also try these natural home remedies to help you alleviate the pain until you can get to your dentist.
