Sean P. Diddy Combs reflects on Michael Jackson’s legacy

Tonight award winning rapper Sean P. Diddy Combs made an appearance on the "Larry King Live" show ... well almost. He called into the show and shared his thoughts on the sudden death of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson.

Combs: “ My heart is just hurting....it’s hard to explain in words, when I first heard the news I was just in shock, and when you watched television and you see all the old videos ... This man was the greatest recording artist of our time.
This man through his music actually like ... made a change in the world.
He was the only artist that you could say people knew of ... um ....his song was in English but no matter what country he was in people knew the words to his song.”

“And you know when I heard the coverage today and I hear everybody talking about the controversy, and the down ... Everybody has down in their life.”

“This man (Jackson) had so much positivity, and so much of a positive effect, especially on my generation. You know I didn’t grow up listening to Elvis or the Beatles. This guy (Michael Jackson) was my hero, and he gave birth to all the artists of my generation. And I think it’s just sad to watch everybody talk about things that went down that weren’t even proven, and I think it’s important that we give him this day. He changed the world. He made me believe in magic. He made me actually visualize the music. He made me wanna make music. I just think it’s important for all the artists out there to call in and for us to be heard, and let the people know how much this man meant to us."

In November 2003 Diddy made this comment to the media:

Diddy: "I saw him in the handcuffs and you know, I have been in similar situations where the jury has been out." And, "The way they are treating my man, following him, stalking him, the media, everybody ... seems like the devil is heavily at work."

iamdiddy tweeted :
Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat.

He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!”
