This Friday and Saturday the new Annenberg Space for Photography in Century City opens its space for the annual awards and ensuing exhibition of Pictures of the Year: International, which runs through November 1st.

On July 10 and 11, The Pictures of the Year: International at the Annenberg Space for Photography will honor the best images by photojournalists with the presentation of individual awards to selected photojournalists across several genres.  Each day will also include educational lectures led by many of the year's winners.

Attendance for the awards ceremony and lectures is free to all professional or part-time and student photojournalists though seating is limited.

For the first time, the "pictures of the year" will go on to be available for public view at The Annenberg Space for Photography on an extended display, titled Visions of Excellence, spanning four months and featuring 80 prints and thousands of digital images.
