In celebration of the opening of Collection: MOCA's First Thirty Years, the museum is offering a newsletter that once a week for thirty weeks will showcase a major work from its permanent collection, like a seminal Rosenquist or a cheeky Krueger. If you're an art lover but not a historian, then this newsletter offers an easy way to get a quick review of the most iconic modern and contemporary artists and a great example of the work that defined them.

Collection: MOCA's First Thirty Years opens on November 15th with both the Grand Avenue and Geffen Contemporary locations set to offer an expansive tour of the best of post-war art from 1940 to the present. Numbering at nearly 500 pieces by more than 200 artists, the show promises to be a virtual survey course of every "ism" practiced over the last 70 years.
