El Museo del Barrio will be celebrating its 40th anniversary! 

To bring to light the growing influence on culture and literature by Latinos, The New York Times Community Affairs Department and El Museo del Barrio Present:
A Conversation with Oscar Hijuelos and Esmeralda Santiago

El Teatro, El Museo del Barrio, 1230 Fifth Avenue at 104th Street, New York City

You won't want to miss this conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Oscar Hijuelos (“Dark Dude,” “Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love”) and award-winning writer Esmeralda Santiago (“When I Was Puerto Rican: A Memoir,” “Almost a Woman”). The authors will talk about their inspirations and influences and what encouraged them to become writers.
The event will be moderated by New York Times reporter and author Mireya Navarro (Green Wedding: Planning Your Eco-friendly Celebration.)
