Ugo is an Italian inspired café that resides in the heart of a flourishing and recently cultivated LA area: downtown Culver City. The locals don’t have to hop a plane to Italy for fresh fare, as this restaurant supplies authentic delights like cannelloni, gnocchi, calzones, paninis, and an array of pastas, cooked with cultural zest. And since no café would be complete without Italy’s trademark dessert, Ugo provides a gelato bar with a plethora of delectable flavors. There are two outdoor patios that contribute to an enjoyable dining experience, and allow for people watching amongst the fresh air. The soothing color scheme and European décor helps create a serene ambiance, enabling adults to unwind with a refreshing cocktail and superior cuisine (as if they were situated in Italy).

The jovial vibe is accentuated every Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm, and these pleasurable hours deliver a genuine Italian happy hour. During this time, quality beer bottles can be purchased for $2 (yes, $2), and these refreshing, fermented beverages will simultaneously please the palate, mentality, and wallet. No one should plan on driving home from this happy hour! The discounted cocktails also include $7 glasses of wine and $7.50 martinis, which pack flavors like ginger pomegranate, passion fruit, and pear. These drinks are bound to activate hunger, and therefore a variety of affordable appetizers are available to complement the brews. These charming platters include, but are not limited to, meatballs for $5, calamari for $6.50, caprese for $5.50, carpaccio for $8.50, and prosciutto and melon for $5.00.

Since Italian fare is an American favorite, travel to Culver City, and frugally indulge in this delicious cuisine!
