Now that is thinking out of the box.  Charlotte Pipe, faced with increasing competition from overseas (think about the drywall competition  the US manufacturers faced with China), launched a cool campaign. It drove the point (not all pipes are alike) and became viral. Super use of social  media.

Roscoe Pipe-sniffing Dog service sniffs out those pipes that cannot and will not meet the US standards.  No worries if you hire Roscoe for future problems with pipes due to questionable quality. Call 1-877-K9-SNIFF.  There's YouTube of course. 

Its a simple campaign.  They did not use twitter or blogs, which would have extended the reach.
