Passenger complaints about service from airline flight crews fly in
Yahoo recently featured an article listing the passenger behavior that bothers flight attendants the most. As a flight attendant myself, I was a tiny bit interested in the flight crew behavior that passengers dislike the most. I asked members of Flyer Talk to share some of their own thoughts regarding crew behavior and here are some of their comments:
· “I get annoyed when flight attendants tell passengers to turn off their electronic devices and then go back to chatting on their own cell phones—I did not realize that they are exempt from FAA regulations”
· “I went back the lavatory and heard a flight attendant ranting about how a passenger asked for an extra packet of equal—I realized she was talking about me! Really was my request that unreasonable? Crews should realize that their conversations are often audible to customers. Later I heard the same flight attendant describe her hot layover encounter”
· “They could try to smile, nod, and have a friendly demeanor, even if a verbal greeting is not offered. Just standing there not looking at anyone with arms crossed is kind of an odd first impression for customers, no?”
· “I hate when the flight attendants disappear after the service. I would rather not have to ring the call light only to receive a dirty look”
· “It seems like everything is in the name of safety no matter what. Ofter "safety" is used as a convenient excuse to control any passenger behavior they happen to find bothersome”
Of course, I would never do any of these things! Right?
There are many more comments and I will share more on later articles. Do you have something that really irritates you when you fly?
