More happy news: Ohio unemployment claim systems overwhelmed

A more than tenfold increase in callers attempting to file unemployment claims at the beginning of this week crashed Ohio's unemployment hotline and the online claims filing section of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services website.

The official report on December's mass layoffs isn't due for release until January 28, but this anecdotal evidence is not encouraging.
