A story that makes my cold heart feel all warm and Toastchee.

If you're feeling a bit cynical in the face of the financial doom everywhere, this story is a must-read.

An Archway cookie factory in Ashland, Ohio had closed, taking 300 jobs with it. Then Lance Inc., the makers of ToastChee (pictured) and other fine snack foods, purchased the plant and hired back 60 of the laid-off workers at their previous salaries, allowing them to retain their seniority and regain health insurance coverage on their first day of employment.

In addition, Lance Inc. gave each of the Archway factory's 300 laid-off workers a $1500 pre-paid gift card.
