Boulder resident Sean Moynihan, a deputy district attorney for Denver, was on One Life to Live, a popular daytime soap opera, in the early 1990s. Recently, the show called him and asked him to return to the role. Moynihan played Powell Lord, a character who was last seen in a mental institution after being convicted as a rapist.

Moynihan recently returned to the metro area after filming his character’s 10 episodes in New York. After his original soap stint ended in 1994, Moynihan worked as an actor for a while, but eventually decided to get a more stable job. He got his law degree from the University of Denver before heading to the Colorado Attorney General’s office and then to his current position as a criminal prosecutor.

When asked about the possibility of his character’s return on a more permanent basis, Moynihan said he knows of no such plans and his life and home are now in Colorado. However, he noted

If, however, the opportunity arose to take part in another storyline over a longer period of time, I would definitely consider it - it's too fun doing this kind of work to not think seriously about doing it again!

As for his deputy DA position, Moynihan notes that his acting has aided that as well:

I even get to use my old acting skills when trying to prove my case to a jury.

A showcase of Moynihan's role can be seen below:
