Review: "Ingenuity" Green Limon is another offering from Chicago-based tea company, Ineeka. This is a remarkably smooth Himalayan green tea, tangy with lemongrass.
The nose on the dry leaf, enclosed in Ineeka's innovative "BrewTache" bags, is dominated by the lemongrass, which is to be expected. Himalayan greens are a bit more substantial and unctuous than their Chinese counterparts, so the tea, which infuses to a light yellow/green, supports the strong lemongrass notes well.
While I enjoyed this tea hot, it gets even better on ice. The lemon notes become bolder, and the slight astringency gives this medium-bodied green tea a refreshing edge. Recommended.
