One of his seven Hammer Dracula movies!
This is really exciting news! Christopher Lee, who played Dracula in the Hammer Dracula movies and is well known to fans of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Attack of the Clones (he played Count Dooku), was knighted last Friday. The actor is now 87!
The actor has been in movies since 1948 and he shows no signs of slowing down! According to his page on the Internet Movie Database, he has four (!) films in post production and these films are planned for release in 2010! One will be the new Johnny Depp film Alice in Wonderland (he plays the Jabberwock).
Knighthood is a well deserved honor for this stalwart actor. Check Youtube out for videos of his knighthood ceremony!
