This just started to appear on Twitter: Alaska governor Sarah Palin is resigning effective July 26th.
She didn't say why she is resigning, fueling speculation that she will run for the 2012 U.S. presidential election. Lt. Governor Sean Parnell will replace her at the end of the month.
