Browser Tip: Click a link and open new tab in one motion
How often do you need to click a link but don’t want to move away from your current page? Here are a couple of shortcuts to click a link and open a new tab in one motion. These tips work equally well in Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox and Google’s Chrome.
Tip #1
Hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys down while clicking the link. This will open a new tab and go to the new site or page. The new tab is in the “foreground,” or is the active tab. Your previous tab will still be there and will stay on the current page. When you are done with the new page, close the new tab and voila, you go back to your previous page.
