It looks like the Conficker virus (sometimes called Confickr virus, Confickr worm, Conficker worm) didn’t attack computers on April 1st like some feared it would. But it is still out there. Apparently no one knows what it is capable of, but many fear that it is dormant and can “wake up” any time.

If you don’t have a virus checker, here’s one option that’s free. This isn’t the only free virus checker; there are several available. But this is one I am familiar with.

You can download a free copy of PCTools antivirus software, if it is for non-commercial use, by going to their website at pctools.com.

Pctools is easy to download and use. I have used it for some time now and like it. It automatically checks for updates and prompts you if updates are available.

There’s no excuse for you to be vulnerable, when there are free virus checkers. If you don’t already have one, download a virus checker like PCTools today and protect yourself from virus threats that are always out there.
