Today, Google announced on their official blog that the Sesame Street images are photographs, not drawings. The Sesame Street Google pictures are linked below.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street, Google created not one, but seven "doodles" (Google logos) with Sesame Street characters. Doodles are normally drawn by Google artists around their logo to celebrate holidays, special occasions and famous peoples' birthdays. But for this occasion, Google photographed the characters.
In addition to the seven logos in the U.S., there were other countries that had Google doodles with their own unique characters. You can also see them on Google's page below.
Google stated on their blog:
[W]e have an exciting birthday surprise — for this very special celebration, we're happy to share a high-resolution gallery that includes all of the Sesame Street doodles for you to download. Almost as fun as the doodles themselves, there's even a sneak peak into the photo shoot that yielded today's doodle. As an added bonus, you'll also find a few extra characters that spent some time in other countries.
You can see and download the high-resolution images.
