The Edmonton Eskimos pulled out a 19-17 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the season opener for both squads, but the Esks can’t be too happy the morning after.

Prized free agent acquisition running back Jesse Lumsden sustained a shoulder injury in the first quarter and didn’t return.
“I know it’s pretty bad,” said Edmonton head coach Richie Hall in a story posted by the Edmonton Sun.
Lumsden, who has a history of being injury prone, left the stadium in the third quarter for x-rays. See the hit that knocked him out of the Week 1 game toward the end of this video.
The first week of action wraps up tonight when BC visits Saskatchewan.
Argonauts guard Taylor Robertson shares his thoughts right here this season. Got a question for him? Find out how to submit one for #65.
