Labor Day Sales in Chicago for the end of summer 2009 are a great chance for parents to finish back to school shopping, save on toys, and get a head start on holiday shopping. Following find information on the best Chicago Labor Day Weekend sales and savings.

Chicago Labor Day Deals

• Save up to 75% on children's toys, furniture, bedding, and accessories at the Pottery Barn Kids Labor Day Sale both in Chicagoland stores and online at the PBK Web site. Note that the Star Wars bedding collection is 10% off through September 14, the Barbie Bedroom collection is 20% off,  and the Dr. Seuss bedding is also for sale.
• Along with the online savings on toys and games at the Land of Nod sale and outlet section, Land of Nod is also offering 20% off one instore item during their Labor Day Sale from Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7 (some restrictions apply).
• Save 10% on everything instore at nat & helens from Friday to Sunday. Enjoy the same Labor Day discount at their online store from Friday to Monday with the code "laborday."
• Toys R Us and Babies R Us are offering shoppers Labor Day coupon savings on toys and other children's products from Friday, September 4 to Monday, September 7. these coupons offer deals on items such as baby merchandise, Hannah Montana toys, and 50% off the Melissa & Doug Corner Kitchen. TRU and BRU are also holding a Labor Day Sale for these four days and offering savings such as $100 off the Graco Deco Collection 3-piece bundle, Buy One Get One Half Off all clearance nursery furniture, and Buy One Get One for $1 all clearance clothes and shoes (with certain exclusions and restrictions on the last two deals).
• Toys R Us stores will also hold special "Sidewalk Sales" on Sunday and Monday and offer such discounts (while supplies last) as 50% off all Power Rangers, Hulk, Batman Dark Knight, and Kamen Rider toys; 50% off Star Wars The Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon and Republic AT-TE; 50% off Crayola 12-pack Colored Pencils, Crayola 12-pack Crayons, and Crayola Washable Markers (in-store only); and 50% off Razor "A" Kick Scooter.
• Through Monday, September 7, Borders Rewards members can use a coupon for 40% off any book. Also at Borders, buy four manga and graphic novels and get the fifth one free.
• At the Gymboree Labor Day Sale, Chicago parents can save up to 50% online and instores on baby and toddler girls' and boys' clothing.
• At the Janie and Jack Labor Day Sale, mothers and fathers can save up to 50% instores and online on layette items and stylish boys' and girls' clothes. Enjoy free shipping online with a purchase of $75 or more through September 7 with the code FREESHIP.
• Check out September deals at the LEGO stores in Chicago, too.

Best online Labor Day sales

Several online toy stores are also offering great Labor Day deals on kids toys, clothing, and other products.

• Enjoy Labor Day savings at the Disney Store online when shopping for everything from Back to School items to children's toys and Halloween costumes.
• At the Oompa Labor Day Clearance Sale, parents can save up to 60% off quality toys through midnight on Monday, September 7. Chicago parents willing to drive to the brick and mortar Oompa retail store in Middleton, WI can shop the sale in person from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Labor Day Monday.
• Three Sisters Toys has many lovely wooden and natural children's toys for sale in their sale section.
