Here's a quick roundup of what to look for, including descriptions of various special Transformers promotions.

Kmart Transform Your Dad promotion
From June 7 to June 22, 2009, Kmart stores will be holding a special Father's Day promotion themed to match the new Transformers movie. Kmart guests will be able to shop a variety of merchandise to "transform your dad," and can receive two free movie tickets to see Transformers after purchasing $50 of menswear (with some exclusions).
Visitors to the special Transformers section of the Kmart Web site can watch watch preview clips of the upcoming movie, see (and purchase) an exclusive Kmart Transformers e-gift card, and download free Transformers wallpaper and a free comic book Transformers movie adaptation (complete with Transformers ads and coupons).
Although much of the Transformers merchandise will be available only in stores, Chicago shoppers can get a sneak peek preview of some of the items online at the Headquarters for Transformers section of the Web site.
Transformers destination boutique at Kmart
From June 22 to July 4, Kmart and Hasbro will partner to set up Transformers destination boutiques at the front of each Kmart store location. These themed retail areas will be stocked with Transformers toys, video games, men's and boys' apparel (too bad for the girls?), bedding, and other licensed merchandise.

Transformers food and snacks
Look for special Transformers toys and promotions as part of Burger King's BK® Kids meals and the BK® Adventures newsletter later this summer. And, of course, Mars Snackfood has created a line of special Transformers candy products. Check out the new Transformers promotion on the M&M Web site, as well as a funny Transformers/M&M commercial.
Target and M&M have also teamed up for a promotion where shoppers can purchase candy to get an M&Ms® brand chocolate candies Transformers candy dispenser.
7-Eleven Transformers promotions
7-Eleven stores will also participate in the Transformers excitement. They will introduce a new Bumblebee Blast Slurpee flavor, four collectible 3D cups, a themed refillable mug, a plastic cup with stickers, and character straws, as well as holding an online sweepstakes.
The four lenticular cups will feature the Autobots Bumblebee and Optimus Prime and the Decepticons Megatron and Ravage. The straws will feature Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron, and the Fallen. The refillable mug is the head of Optimus Prime. The 12-oz. plastic cup comes with removable Transformers decals that can be used to create scenes from the movie.
7-Eleven stores will also stock small items of Transformers merchandise, from character bobbleheads and keychains to an exclusive DVD version of the first Transformers movie that comes packaged in a transformable Megatron case.

Get creative with Transformers

Or you can upload a picture of yourself or a child to make a Transformers poster or puzzle...starring you, or a child.

Look also in Chicagoland bookstores for novelty books, sticker books, I Can Read books, and junior novels, as well as coloring books and adult novels based on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
A 25th anniversary DVD set of the first season of the 1980s Transformers Generation One animated series will be released on June 16, 2009. Bonus features include archival Hasbro toy commercials and a limited edition Autobot magnet.

Personally, I'm more of a Voltron girl, but have fun shopping, Transformers fans!
