Educational magnet sets from ChildWood Magnets can develop children's vocabulary and creativity and teach them content knowledge at home or on the go. Companion activity books from ChildWood focus and extend the learning, and parents can adapt the activities in these books to use with other magnet sets around the home.

Educational magnet toys

Often when purchasing educational magnets for kids, parents buy a set of letters, a set of numbers, perhaps a set of simple shapes, and then call it a day. Such educational magnets sets are cornerstones of any well-stocked playroom, but more detailed magnet sets exist to challenge and entertain kids much further.

ChildWood Magnet Collection

Take, for example, the various sets offered by ChildWood Magnets. Not only does ChildWood sell a diverse collection of magnet sets, but the sets themselves come with activity books, poems, stories, experiments, and other supplementary materials. The magnets are made of sturdy, painted wood and backed with safe, magnetic strips.

ChildWood's Storytelling line contains sets for classic folk tales like The Three Bears, The Three Pigs, and The Little Red Hen, as well as one made up of animal characters from Bill Martin's classic children's picture book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Kids can use these sets to repeat the classic tales, make up their own new stories, play with language, explore themes in each story (like responsibility, cooperation, and safety), and learn about concepts like size, color, and sequence.

ChildWood's Mother Goose collection is made up of figures from familiar Mother Goose rhymes like Humpty Dumpty and Little Miss Muffet. An activity guide suggests ways to use these figures to teach math, science, art, and other subjects to toddlers.

Teaching school subjects with ChildWood Magnets

ChildWood's Science collection teaches everything from how a tree changes over the course of the four seasons to the life cycles of different animals. ChildWood's Family & Feelings and Community Helper sets can be used to teach social studies concepts such as family relationships and the jobs different people in a community hold. ChildWood also sells Holiday and Math & Color sets.

Displayed on a fridge in the heart of a home or stuck to a portable magnetboard for play on the go, the educational magnet sets from ChildWood can provide kids with opportunities for imaginative learning and fun at many times and in many places.
