It has been 15 years since French Master Chef Roland Passot and food service executive Edward Levine opened Left Bank in the historic Blue Rock Inn on Magnolia Street in Larkspur. To celebrate, executive chef Sean Canavan will feature the restaurant's original menu - and get this - in the true spirit of things, the food will be served at 1994 prices! The party takes place in Larkspur July 3 through July 12.
Satisfy your hunger for authentic French fare with dishes such as this: Melange des Tartines ($5.25) - sun-dried tomato tapenade and salmon rillettes served with toasted country bread; Croque 'Jacques Pepin' ($6.75) - grilled eggplant with roasted peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella and basil on a potato bun; and Le Canard Deux Facons ($15.25) - duck prepared two ways - roasted duck breast and duck leg confit with rice and sour cherry sauce.
Left Bank in Larkspur is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday, and for brunch starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by dinner on Sundays. For information about the entire family of restaurants, go to: Left Bank.
