Jose Feliciano to kick off U.S. concert tour

José Feliciano

José Feliciano’s fans have a reason to celebrate. The Puerto Rican composer and guitarist, who’s the voice behind the all-time holiday hit “Feliz Navidad,” will kick off a multi-city U.S. concert tour following the Thanksgiving break, starting in California.

Coming on the heels of a winning streak, Feliciano aims to close 2008 with style. Here’s a list of the scheduled tour dates:

Dec. 04: San Manuel Indian Casino - Highland, CA (San Bernardino Area)
Dec. 09 - Broward Center For the Performing Arts - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Dec. 10 - Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts – Miami, FL
Dec. 11 – TV Performance on Univision’s National Morning Show “Despierta America”
Dec. 12 - The Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood, NJ
Dec. 13 - Lehman Center for Performing Arts - Bronx, NY (New York City)
Dec. 14 - Palace Theatre - Manchester, NH
Dec. 18 - Paramount Theatre - Rutland, VT
Dec. 20 – Nash Theatre- North Branch, NJ (Raritan Valley Area)
Dec. 25 - TV Performance on ABC’s “Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade”

Feliciano, who's also widely known for his acclaimed version of “Light My Fire” (The Doors), has been honored in numerous occasions in 2008. Most recently, he won a Latin Grammy award for “Best Contemporary Tropical Album” for “Señor Bachata.” Also this year, he put out his new album “Con México en el Corazón,” plus he’s marking the 40th anniversary of his landmark world-series performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” with a series of special events.
