'Wolverine' as the Enneagram Eight

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s your favorite Enneagram superhero, fictional or villain type! Yeah, I know—weak, but geeks rule!

Speaking of geeks, haven’t you often wondered what Enneagram type spider-man is? What about the Incredible HULK—come on! You know you want to know how they think, reason and what makes them wear those hot yellow spandex! Well wholly Batman, we’re about to countdown our favorite comic book action heroes and movies to get everyone ready for Halloween picks. Shazam!!

Wait, my spidey Enneagram Six sense is telling me we have our work cut out for us—don’t despair, we will get to the bottom of this mystery, as we countdown our beloved heroes and villains. Ready?

Core Stance: wants to be right and good and have integrity
The One: Wonder Woman (1w2 wing)
Wonder Woman has always been about justice and right and wrong—from her uptight background work costume to her protecting her little sister. Doing what’s right is her core value.

Core Stance: Wants to help and feel loved
The Two: Superman (2w3 wing)
Superman loves helping others, but when he was a super teen, he had issues with folks liking him, fitting in and wanting to show the world, what he could do! His vanity and ego is one of his weaknesses that’s gets him into trouble from time-to-time.

Core Stance: Wants to be successful and have a good image
The Three: Tony Stark/Iron Man (3w2 wing)
Oh, Tony Starks, if his ego could get any bigger he would be Superman! Wait, he does fly…Iron Man is all about the image—perfect, house, assistant, and eh iron cock-protection. He doesn’t need compliments; he can do that all by himself. It’s great to see his Two wing into action as he trys to save the day. Keep it up Iron Man, it’s great to give back to humanity.

Core Stance: Wants to be understood and be special
The Four: Bruce Wayne/Batman (5w4 wing)
Bruce Wayne, by day his ego is bigger than Tony Starks, but by night, he’s the lost soul trying to right his life and the worlds. I could be wrong on this one, but, I’m feeling either 3w4, 4w3 or 5w4 wing. He has that ego, but his demons are more prominent and rule his head.

Core Stance: Wants to understand the world around them and gain knowledge
The Five: David Banner (Five), moves into his anger arrow (Eight) as the Hulk. Dr. Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic
There is nothing more Five then a geek scientist that has gone rogue—and merges into his alter-ego the Eight bad ass! I know it happens. He doesn’t say, “Don’t make me angry” for nothing! Ah, it’s always the quiet ones!

Core Stance: Wants to have security and not be afraid
The Six: Spiderman 6w5 wing. Cat Woman (6w5 wing), Storm (X-Men) (6w7 wing)
Spiderman, I’m a bit torn. I think he’s a Six, but he could be a Five also. He’s quiet, has a secret life, but wants to help underdog causes. If I would have to guess at this one, I would say a 6w5 wing. Most Sixes tend to have been bullied at school and have some anger issues they express; when they feel things aren’t fair for them. Spiderman also loves staying loyal to his friends and aunt. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Sounds like a Six to me!

Core Stance: Wants to stay happy and have fun
The Seven: Johnny Storm/Human Torch (7w6 wing)
Most superheroes are out there doing well for the common man because it’s the right thing to do, or they want peace in the world. Not Seven’s, they want fame and glory! Okay, they want to do the work but perhaps, not a 24-hour a day thing, like our man Spidey and Superman. Hey, it’s cool to have superpowers, but why not plan a large idea, then make sure you execute it well, so you can go out and benefit from your selfless acts—I get you man.

Core Stance: Wants to have control and not feel weak
The Eight: Voldemort. (8w7 wing) Wolverine, (8w7 wing) Ben Grimm/The Thing, (8w9 wing) Darth Vader (8w7 wing)
Well, if all superheroes could be good ones, then we wouldn’t have a story plot. Meet your bad ass good guy and your bad ass eh…baddie. It happens. They want control, power and respect—just not in that order. Watch out for those 8w7 wings, they will get you every-time with that anger. You know, in their mind they think they are big teddy-bears, like The Thing. Got to love that wing Nine, keeping him an old softy!

Core Stance: Wants to have peace in the world and not be overwhelmed
The Nine: Xavier (X-men) (9w1 wing)
We never really found out what happened to Xavier in the X-men movies regarding the wheel chair did we? Mmm, most likely he was trying to bring peace to some mutant faction, and got hurt! I know, peace and love man. But, sometimes, they are just bad! You can’t help them all—seeing both sides to everything! Mmm, I wonder what President Obama would do? mmmm
