Tonight was Game 1 of the American League Championship Series and what better way to arrive at the game or Ferg's -- the popular bar that hosts parties to watch the Rays games -- than by bicycle.

Like this fella, who pulled right up to Ferg's, which is across the street from The Trop -- the Rays' home stadium.

At Ferg's, it was a big Rays-watching party, including free mohawks for Rays fans. The stylists at the Somers Salon & Spa worked like a NASCAR pit crew on the gentlemen who preferred the Ray-hawk -- the official haircut of the Rays. It took a mere 10 minutes for the Somers crew to execute the Ray-hawk.

When you prepare to receive the Ray-hawk, it's always good to have a beer in hand.

If you wear a sombrero to a Rays game, that's automatic inclusion on the blog!

I found St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker, a Rays fan, posing with the governor of the archenemy www.redsoxnation.com before the game outside Ferg's.
