Earlier this year Better Homes and Gardens magazine surveyed new home buyers to get a feel for their preferences.
The January 2008 research study surveyed more than 2000 consumers who bought a new home in the past 10 yeras or plan to build one in the next ten years. The top five priorities of these buyers are:
- An all-new kitchen that looks great and is fun to work in
- The right amount and type of storage
- A master suite that feels like a luxurious hotel room
- Well-designed spaces that consumers can personalize
- A separate and convenient sizeable laundry workroom
