Parents in Las Vegas are lucky enough to have many options as to where to hold their children’s birthday celebrations. Here are some of the top picks in town to consider for your child’s next party.

Las Vegas Parks: Parks are a very popular place to hold birthday parties because they can hold large amounts of people, and unless you are reserving/renting a pavilion in advance, they are very inexpensive. If your child’s birthday is in the summer, they have the added bonus of being able to enjoy the splash pads available at many of the parks in town. If you plan on having a jumper/bounce house at your child’s party, make sure the park you want to use has electricity available; not all parks do.

Peter Piper Pizza/Chuck E. Cheese: Both of these businesses are generally alike, offering games and an indoor play ground, as well as birthday packages that can be purchased. Pizza and refreshments are also available each. The difference is the noise factor: Chuck E. Cheese has its own stage show, which makes it louder than Peter Piper. This is something to consider when parents need to round up birthday guests to eat or to come watch the birthday child open presents.

Laser Quest: For older kids or preteens in Las Vegas, there is no place more fun than Laser Quest . Even adults love it. The lobby is filled with arcade style games and air hockey, but the real fun is the laser tag itself.

The Artful Potter: For creative kids looking for something different, this is the place to be. Here, you choose your piece of pottery, paint it, and then pick it up in a few days after it has been glazed and fired in the kiln. This venue has a special room for birthday celebrations, away from other patrons.

Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix: What fun for kids to be able to go down a gigantic slide, ride the dragon coaster, or enjoy bumper cars! Older kids will like the speedway, or the tornado twister. This facility also has games inside, as well as refreshments and birthday packages available for purchase.

Little Pastry Chefs: Kids get their own chef’s hats and aprons, bake their own pizzas, and decorate their own one layer cakes in the theme the birthday boy/girl selected. A party host instructs the kids through the whole process; birthday guests take home the cakes they decorated to share with family.

Olivia’s Dollhouse Tea Room: Got a girly-girl in your house? She’ll love having her own tea party with all her closest friends here. The birthday girl will be surprised to see a birthday banner with her name on it when she arrives. She will have her pick of over 200 gowns to wear, as well as her own special birthday tiara.  Her guests also get to dress up; afterwards everyone gets their makeup done, and are treated to body glitter, a little perfume, a new hairstyle and their choice of nail polish. A fashion show and tea party with plenty of food follow all the glamorous activities.

The above list is just a sampling of ideas. Other notable businesses in Las Vegas that hold birthday parties are the YMCA, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Michael’s craft stores, and Pump It Up.
