What is cuter than a card shaped like an Easter egg?  The Easter season tends to be one of my favorites because I love the images of bunnies, baby chicks, flowers, and Easter eggs on beautiful green patches of grass.  This tutorial will demonstrate how to make an Easter egg card with ease.  The suggested supplies for this project are:

  • scissors
  • card stock
  • colored pencils
  • a drawing pencil
  • a fun attitude

Three Easter egg cards.

Create a large Easter egg card:

Here are the steps suggested for creating your own Easter egg cards.  These steps are only suggestions and feel free to mix it up!

Step 1:

In order to make these eggs we must first start with a blank piece of paper or card stock.

Blank cardstock.

I prefer to use card stock for making my cards because it is more durable.  However, blank paper or construction paper can work too.

Step 2:

Fold card stock in half.

Fold the card in half.

Step 3:

Draw a large egg shape on the card.

Draw a large egg on the card.

Step 4:

Cut out the egg card.

Use scissors to cut out the large egg card.

Step 5:

Color the Easter egg.

Use colored pencils to create a fun design for your Easter egg.

Creating two small Easter egg cards:

Draw the two Easter eggs on card stock folded in half.  Cut out the eggs and get ready to have fun coloring.

Two pretty Easter egg cards.

Use colored pencils to create fun and original designs.  Coloring Easter egg cards is less clean up than dipping real eggs in dye.  Have fun making Easter egg cards today!
