Labor Day card designed by Julia Hanna

How can I make a card for Labor Day?  Labor Day is a special national holiday beyond family get togethers and barbecues because it celebrates the achievement of an eight hour work day.  Pay tribute to the hard workers in your family by creating fun hand designed cards.  This card should be red, white, and blue to represent our gratitude for the American worker.  Ideally the card would have stripes on it to symbolize the American flag.  A handmade card could also have stars on it, but the card in this project simply has blue stripes and red block lettering.

Creating you own card by hand is rewarding and less expensive than using a computer.  Designing a card similar to the one in this project would be easy for people of all ages.  Take a look at the slide show below to see how this Labor Day card was created out of scrap paper, which is a great why recycle used paper just lying around the house.
