What should a person do if their hand strung necklace breaks?  When restringing a necklace it is good  to determine why it broke in the first place.  For instance, the necklace in this picture snapped because the beading wire was not very durable, so this time around a more flexible wire was used to restring the beads.  The necklace in this picture has a tropical theme with a mother of pearl pendant, fake pearl accent beads, and shell beads.

Some people detest the idea of using fake pearl and fake crystal beads, but there is nothing wrong with using costume beads to capture the look of a more expensive necklace.  Also, on a budget it is much easier to go the crafting store and buy what is one sale rather than buying real pearls to make a necklace.  Take a look at the slide show below to see how this beautiful necklace was repaired.
