Pineapple
Colombia's climate and range of altitude allow a wide variety of fruits to grow.

It won't take a visitor to Colombia very long to discover there are many, many new fruits.  What will take some time, however, is figuring out what all those fruits are and what they taste like!

Colombians love their fruit juice and you'll find an abundance of small shops and stalls making a wide variety of juices.  Be sure to try all of them before deciding which is your favorite - a difficult task when they are all so delicious!

Browse through the photos here in order to know the names of the fruits.  Sure, it won't help with the taste, but you'll at least know what you are asking for!  (For the record, my favorite juice is lulo fruit made with milk - be sure to try it!)
