Sleep. Sometimes this can be a hard to come by thing for parents of babies. That's where white noise machines come in. They help block out distractions and produce a rhythmic beat that lulls baby (and you) to sleep.

To take white noise machines a step further into coolness and functionality, meet Cloud B's Soothing Sounds Gentle Giraffe. This is just about the cutest, softest sound machine you're going to find. Plus he attaches with a velcro loop to hang outside the crib when baby is too little to have anything in there. Or attach it to baby's swing, carseat, stroller, wherever you want to suggest sleeping would be a good idea to your peanut.

As baby gets older you can remove the sound machine and let your tot use him as a snuggly friend to cuddle to sleep - and still play the same familiar soothing beddy bye sounds to sleep to.

To relax baby into dreamtime, play the waterfall sound option - my favorite- or the heartbeat sound to mimic the sound of the womb. Many newborns really relax to that sound and fall right asleep when its played.

But the giraffe is  much more than that. It also plays some upbeat tribal music that you can play to entertain your little one or to gently awaken them if you need to go on an errand, for example, and need to move baby from crib to car seat. Another option is the sounds of the Serengeti which is a more subdued entertaining option.

All of the sounds are a high quality and not scratchy or annoying, like other baby products. Mr Giraffe doesn't like to waste battery power. You can set him to turn off 23 or 45 minutes later if you don't want to do it manually. This sound machine-slash plush toy just won Creative Child’s Top Choice of the Year Award to boot.

As if all of that wasn't enough, Gentle Giraffe is a part of Cloud B's endangered species line and a portion of the products purchase price is donated to Conservation International.
