Today's best baby shower gift guide continues toy suggestions for babies. Read part 1 for more great ideas!

Holgate Toy's Slider Rattle is a great first rattle. It's made in the USA with all natural hard maple and sanded smooth. There's no finish on the outer part that baby can safely chew on. The inner rattle has three brightly colored shapes that slide back and forth making a great rattle sound. Baby can also manipulate them on at a time as she works on coordination.

Baby Einstein Twisty Lights Rattle was my youngest daughter's favorite gift for her first Christmas. (She was just shy of three months old.) It is a pull apart rattle that has all sorts of textures and has a smiling face that lights up at the top.

Organic Cotton Grape by Under the Nile are a good way to get baby to love her fruits and veggies early. It's made from organic cotton too, so you can feel good about your little one putting it in his mouth. Plus when it's time for teething, you can dip the bottom few grapes in water and freeze them for added soothing. Also, babies will like mushing the grapes in their hands.

Teething Rings By HABA These German-made wooden teething rings are made with 100% non-toxic water based stains and are available in a variety of designs from bears to flowers. These are super cool looking, safe, and innovative for little ones! HABA makes all sorts of great wooden toys for babies.

Zadyball Organic Handmade Olivia the Owl is handmade by a mom in Arizona. No matter the drool and dribble that gets on this one, it's easy to clean, as it's fully machine washable. This owl has organic cotton filling and organic cotton flannel exterior too. So it's safe for baby to chew on without worry. Zadyball makes several other creatures too.

Taggies makes lots of great toys, clothes and gear for babies. They're really cute, high quality, soft items that little babies love! The secret - they have soft ribbon tags on them, whether they're blankets, clothes, hats, books or toys. Babies love them because their little fingers like to manipulate the little loops. They also like to chew on them.
