Sandal goodness...

This article continues my hunt for the perfect, most comfortable shoes for moms... This one focuses on sandals. Perfect summer item and perfect gift for Mother's's Day!  (Continue reading: part 1 - fantastic anyday shoes and part 3 - awesome slippers.)

Yoga Sandals by Beech Sandals These shoes look really strange and frankly they look like there's no way they'd be comfy, but au contraire. They have 4 toe spreaders that gently separate your tootsies so you stand in balance and properly aligned from toe to hips. Pretty cool. Lots of fabrics to choose from from the slipper-like to the beach-type. And if your hubby gets jealous, they make some for guys too.

Terrasoles - Beyond sandal is really unique. It's cushiony and feels kinda like walking on air. Extra bonus, you refrigerate them for maximum refreshment. It's pure genius. When you slip them on right out of the fridge you instantly feel good. The toe material to keep these flip flops on is a little thick and takes getting used to, even for someone like me who loves wearing flip flops. And like other Terrasole shoes, it's eco-friendly too.

Crocs makes more than those lightweight clogs that the kids love to wear about. Did you know they have a full shoes line for men and women that look like regular shoes with benefits? I didn't but do now. The brand new women's slip on Malindi is lightweight like you'd expect from a Croc, but also is really cute and stylish and of course comfy or it wouldn't be in this story. I like the little massage nubs that stimulate your feet and the extra cushioning that pads the ball of your foot with each step. My husband couldn't believe it when I told him these were Crocs. He was very impressed.

Birkenstock's have been around a long time and that's for a reason. These classic comfy shoes are still in demand and easy on the foot. I like how much arch support they offer and they really let your foot breathe, perfect for summer time for the beach or at the office. There's a lot more to Birkenstocks then you might think. And don't be fooled. Birkenstocks are so much more comfy and long lasting then their generic copycats. I never knew this until recently getting my first pair of the real thing and am very impressed by the difference in the original. My choice: Birkenstock's new Madrid shoe. It's known as the "Birkenstock Fitness Sandal" in Europe. It looks cool while toning your foot and calf muscles plus improving your circulation as you wear them. That's a nice bonus!
