Waiting for baby to arrive can be so hard on expecting moms. Those last few weeks seem to go super slow because of all the waiting you're doing. To pass the time and make something extra special for baby's new room, consider making a unique and special painting for his or her room.
I've done this for both of my children and will do it again for my third child. It helps me fulfill some of my nesting desires and it is something colorful for little ones to look at while they go to sleep at night. Plus every time I see the paintings I made just for them, I think back to when I made them as I was awaiting their arrivals.
You don't have to be a fantastic artist or ever have painted anything before. All you need to do is go to the craft store and buy a canvas, small paint brush, and some acrylic paints. (These are safe to use while pregnant.) Then just get creative. You can use their name in the artwork (like I did), you can do something whimsical that is just full of colorful shapes, paint a landscape, whatever you'd like. You can even buy stencils to use if you want.
What you'll end up with is an expression of your love for your baby that you can both treasure forever.
